Raleigh-based global mainframe storage management software developer DTS Software today announced its participation at SHARE Washington, D.C., February 23-27 at the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center. “SHARE excels at delivering exceptional professional development opportunities while fostering a vibrant and inclusive community. We’re proud to participate as a vendor and to host three sessions at SHARE Washington, D.C. Education and relationship building are at the heart of what we do at DTS, perfectly aligning with the mission of SHARE conferences,” said Tara Velozo, CEO of DTS Software.
Attendees are invited to visit DTS Software at booth #222 at the SHARE Technology Expo (STE) to discuss their mainframe storage management needs, including cloud data access, COBOL migration, tape migration, or exploring DTS Software’s comprehensive product suite. A team will be available to provide tailored recommendations to help storage and systems administrators manage today’s complex storage management environments.
DTS Software will be a participating exhibitor in the Passport to Prizes program and will be giving away a pair of Bose QuietComfort® Earbuds. To enter, attendees simply need to visit booth #222 and have their Passport to Prizes card stamped.
DTS Software’s hosted presentations kick off with “HELP! I Need to Migrate to a New COBOL Compiler” on Wednesday, February 26, at 7:30 AM. Jerry Spencer and Tom Ross, also known as Captain COBOL, will cover steps, best practices and how to minimize issues once in production when migrating to a new COBOL compiler.
In the afternoon of February 26, Raymond Bowdish will present “Making the IPL Work for You” at 3:45 PM. Attendees will learn about IPL, optimizing it through customized configurations to drastically reduce setup time while providing flexibility across environments like zPDT, zD&T, production machines, and disaster recovery sites.
On Thursday, February 27 at 1:45 PM, DTS CTO Steve Pryor will wrap up DTS hosted sessions with “The Other Part of SMS – IGDSMSxx”. During the session, attendees will discuss the SYS1.PARMLIB member that controls DFSMS and can profoundly influence the characteristics of datasets, the selection of volumes, and more.
